Yellow Bellied House Snake – Lamprohpis fuscus

Size:
Averaging 30-40cm and may reach 60cm.

Colour:
Uniform light brown/yellow with lighter bellow

Habitat:
Favouring montane grasslands and fynbos.

Field Notes:
Another shy species far less commonly encountered than the Aroura House Snake. These snakes can be found in grasslands, montane environments and fynbos. Typically found under rocks, stones and termite mounds. A slender snake that may be confused with the Common Brown Water Snake.
