Distribution Map

Kentani Dwarf Chameleon – Bradypodion kentanicum

Size:
A small chameleon typically not exceeding 10cm.

Colour:
A nondescript  drab brown/dirty olive, with occasional pale brown flashes/patches along the sides.

Habitat:
Typically favouring tall thatching grasses, small shrubs, reeds near water as well as venturing along the eco tones of forested areas and into the low canopy.

Field Notes:
Another species of dwarf chameleon that is relatively poorly documented, perhaps due to its rather bland look and reduced features. The habitat of these chameleons is under threatened from too frequent controlled burns from small scale cattle farmers and that of live stock feeding on the vegetation they occur amongst.
