Yellow Bellied House Snake (Lamprohpis fuscus)

Another shy species far less commonly encountered than the Aroura House Snake. These snakes can be found in grasslands, montane environments and fynbos. Typically found under rocks, stones and termite mounds. A slender snake that is a uniform light brown/yellow with lighter bellow may be confused with the Common Brown Water Snake.

A small snake where adults seldom exceed 60cm.
