Bradypodion nemorale – Qudeni Dwarf Chameleon.

Size:

A medium sized chameleon typically not exceeding 140mm.
Colour:
An orangish-brown along with small green patches scattered along its sides with red tubercles scattered along the flanks and onto the tail.
Habitat:
Favouring the mistbelt forest canopy as well as its fringes.
Field Notes:
Often perching high up in the canopy often at heights well over 5m making them difficult to see in dense forested areas, although juveniles seem to be inhabit the forest fringes. Known only from two isolated forests namely Quedeni and Nkandla Forest. Both forests being protected unlike many others these chameleons are not at any immediate risk of habitat degradation or illegal collecting.
